Unless otherwise arranged, all prices, timelines, and terms agreed to in the emails between the Client and the Editor are considered a binding contract.
- The Client may cancel the agreement of work at any time prior to the receipt of the document by the Editor. After which, the Client will be responsible for paying the balance equal to the amount of work that was completed prior to cancellation.
- Unless otherwise arranged, payment must be received in full before the completed document will be released back to the Client. The document will be held until payment has been received. Payment can be made via Interac email transfer, unless otherwise agreed. Outstanding balances must be paid before the Editor will accept new projects from the Client.
- Unless otherwise specified, any document, correspondence, etc received after 10pm will be considered as having arrived at 8am the following morning.
- The Editor is not obligated to accept any project and may reject a project without reason.

2. Rate & Rush Services
- The current standard rate for editing is $6/pg (Canadian), based on a 250-word page or part thereof.
- All uses of the term "page" in reference to billing are to be considered synonymous to "250 words", which is the industry-standard page.
- For larger projects, the Editor may request a 25% deposit to be paid prior to commencement of the work.
- Rush Services are available and will be subject to a premium fee in addition to the standard editing fee. The timer for Rush Services starts when the return date/time has been confirmed and the project has been received by the Editor.
- The Editor is not obligated to accept a Rush project.
3. Intellectual Property Rights, Confidentiality, & Indemnity
- All projects remain the sole property of the Client and will not be used or shared by the Editor in any capacity without the express written permission of the Client.
- None of the Client’s personal information will ever be shared, unless required by law or with the express written permission of the Client.
- All projects will be deleted 12 months after the completion or cancellation of the project.
- While the Editor will make every effort to bring questionable material to the attention of the Client, the Client agrees to indemnify and save harmless the Editor from any and all claims or demands, including legal fees, arising out of any alleged libel, copyright infringement, slanderous, and/or defamatory content in the Client's document committed by the Author or Client in creating the work.
4. Editor’s Portfolio
The Editor may occasionally feature the Client’s book, article, etc on the Published page, which displays projects the Editor has worked on.
- This page will provide the cover image or logo, back cover blurb (if applicable), and a link to where the piece can be purchased or read online (granted all of which are publicly available through a basic online search).
- The page is intended to help promote Clients’ work while showcasing the Editor’s prowess.
- No details of the actual editing work done will ever be divulged without express written permission by the Client, and works will only be featured after they are made publicly available.
- The Client may, at any time, request to have their feature removed from the Editor’s website.
- Works in which the Editor has been a Ghostwriter will not be featured unless express written permission is given by the Client.
